 It is located on the banks of the Perfume River, which flows through many beautiful areas.

• Best time to visit is October to March when the temperatures are comfortable. July and August is extremely hot.
• Hue is regularly prone to rain.

PLACES OF INTEREST IN AND AROUND HUE

Hue Imperial Citadel: Which covers a 10km area. Dates from 1804 when it was constructed as the home of the Emperor and his family.
Opening hours – 07:30-17:30. Ticket price 105,000 VND (includes entry to the Royal Antiquities Museum)

Thien Mu Pagoda: Considered by many to be the unofficial symbol of Hue. It is an active Buddhist monastery with its origins dating back to 1601. One of its most poignant displays is a car belonging to a former monk who, in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight in protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its cruel treatment of Buddhist monks and followers.
